Securitize Appoints Georgia Quinn as Chief Legal Officer to Strengthen Leadership in Tokenized Real-World Assets
MIAMI, March 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Securitize, the leader in tokenizing real-world assets (RWAs), has appointed Georgia Quinn as its new Chief Legal Officer. Quinn, an accomplished legal expert in digital assets and financial regulation, joins Securitize from Anchorage Digital, where she previously served as General Counsel.
With extensive experience navigating the complex regulatory landscape of digital assets, Quinn has played a pivotal role in shaping legal frameworks for blockchain-based financial services. Her expertise will be instrumental in advancing Securitize’s mission to drive the adoption of compliant, tokenized securities within traditional financial markets.
“Securitize has been at the forefront of bringing real-world asset tokenization into a compliant, regulated framework, and I am excited to join at such a critical and exciting time for the industry,” said Quinn. “Now that the regulatory stalemate is over and we can make meaningful progress toward a functional legal framework, I look forward to working with the team to ensure Securitize remains a trusted leader in the space.”
Securitize has been committed to compliance, becoming a SEC-registered broker-dealer and operator of a SEC-regulated Alternative Trading System (ATS). In June 2024, Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo testified before the House Financial Services Committee in a hearing titled “Next Generation Infrastructure: How Tokenization of Real-World Assets Will Facilitate Efficient Markets.” Domingo underscored the importance of distinguishing between different types of digital assets and called for greater regulatory clarity to support the growth of tokenized securities.
“We are thrilled to welcome Georgia to the Securitize leadership team,” said Domingo. “Her deep understanding of digital asset regulation and her experience leading legal strategy for financial institutions will be invaluable as we continue to build a compliant, efficient, and innovative ecosystem for tokenized real-world assets.”
With Quinn at the helm of its legal strategy, Securitize is poised to further expand its role as a leading provider of regulated tokenized securities, bridging traditional finance and blockchain technology to unlock new market efficiencies.
