Atlas Renewable Energy and Endeavor Launch ‘Atlas Open Innovation Challenge: Solar Power to the Fullest’ for Startups and Scaleups
Santiago, Chile–(Newsfile Corp. – April 25, 2023) – Atlas Renewable Energy, a leading renewable energy company in the Americas, has partnered with Endeavor Chile to launch the “Atlas Open Innovation Challenge: Solar Power to the Fullest,” a competition aimed at identifying innovative technologies that solve solar energy challenges. The winners of the challenge will receive a $20,000 prize to implement a pilot at Atlas’ solar plants.

The challenge is divided into four categories: Better, Faster, Stronger, and Integrated. The categories aim to lower environmental impacts and increase the resilience of PV systems, implement IoT, Data Science and AI, explore new business models and opportunities for utility-scale solar plants, and seek innovative, out-of-the-box solutions. The potential for scaling, quality, technical and economic feasibility, as well as innovative solutions that effectively solve the problems posed by the competition, will all be assessed during the evaluation process.
The competition is open to global startups and scaleups, and ventures currently operational in other industries will be accepted as long as they can be applied to the solar energy industry. One winner will be selected for each category, and they will receive a $20,000 prize to carry out a pilot estimated to last approximately six months. The pilot will be implemented in at least one of Atlas’ photovoltaic plants in the Americas.
During the evaluation process, entrepreneurs will receive mentoring and workshops from experts at Atlas Renewable Energy and mentors at Endeavor, who will provide value in terms of technology and market concepts, and business acceleration. The entrepreneurs will also receive backing during the evaluation process.
The competition’s timeline is as follows: Call for proposals and reception of projects from March 7 to May 7, selection of participants in June, announcement of 10 finalists in June, mentoring and workshops in June and July, and Demo Day in August.
