The Golden Gorilla Speakeasy NFT collection takes rare collectible art on the blockchain and adds a philanthropic spin

The Golden Gorilla Speakeasy is a rare 10,000 art piece NFT collection that utilizes over 300 hand-drawn unique traits. Each Golden Gorilla is your membership to the Speakeasy, which entitles holders to members-only benefits.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., April 5, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) have become mainstream. With the success of many high-profile projects reaching celebrity status, restaurants, and private clubs requiring patrons to own an NFT to enter, the genie is out of the bottle.

Joe J. Penora, the creator of the globally recognized apps Friend Verifier and dating app Gatsby, is leaping into the NFT space with the Golden Gorilla Speakeasy (GGSE). Initially conceptualized in the fall of 2020, the Golden Gorilla Speakeasy is a 10,000 unique art NFT collection with influences drawn from pop culture from the 1980s to today.

“I have been dabbling in the crypto space for the last ten years, and the concept of NFTs has been extremely intriguing,” said Penora. A non-fungible token, or NFT, is a digital proof of ownership stored on a blockchain. This digital proof of ownership can represent any asset, from real estate to a car or digital assets like valuable art pieces.
“The Golden Gorilla Speakeasy is not just a clever name. After our NFT mint sells out, we will be opening an actual Speakeasy and Gallery in South Florida. A place where NFT owners worldwide can visit on their trips to sunny South Florida and socialize with other NFT holders,” said Penora.

The goal of phase one of the Golden Gorilla Speakeasy is to give holders of the hand-drawn art the biggest bang for their buck. Purchase one NFT, and those individuals will receive a 3D art piece, Metaverse Avatar, an Interactive art piece, and a new hand-drawn art modifier, all for free. In addition, these holders will have access to the Golden Gorilla private social network.

“If you look at my track record with Friend Verifier and Gatsby, our goals have always been to build a successful business while doing something good for the world. With each new hand-drawn NFT art drop, we will be holding charity auctions for rare 1 of 1 art pieces,” said Penora. “Our team has identified our first five charities that we will be donating all of the profits for each auction. One of the most exciting aspects of the GGSE is building a great community while doing real good for the world, especially when things have seemed bleak over the past few years.”

The charities the GGSE plan to donate the proceeds of their auctions held this summer can be found on their website and in a philanthropy video posted on their YouTube Channel. Starting today, people can join their whitelist, guaranteeing access to mint at a Golden Gorilla on April 11th, 2022.
